The inductive approach takes a different path. In this case, students are also presented with a set of examples of the target grammar. However, the teacher does not directly explains the grammar rules. Instead students are guided to discover the target grammar rules. This can be done by asking students to classify sentences within charts, matching sentences and rules, drawing up conclusion out of the sentences and so on. In this approach, it is possible to use guided discovery. |
